Wedding Season is Here!

Summer time is a popular time for nuptials. Whether you're the bride, groom, maid of honor, or a guest, you want to look your best for the big day. Special occasions are a perfect reason to try beauty services that you've never tried before. Here are a few tips and suggestions for the newbies to consider before booking those appointments.

Lash Extensions:

*Book a few weeks before the big day. This will give you time to decide if you like the look and the feel. If you're ready to go more (or less) dramatic, you can book a fill appointment a few days before. Allergic reactions are rare, if one should happen, it's best for it to occur a few weeks before the event, unless you're going for the puffy, bloodshot look in your wedding photos.

Spray Tan:

*Book a few days before the event. If the color doesn't come out to your liking, you'll have time to go back to the salon and see if they'll be able to fix it.

*Book 1-3 days before the event, this is especially important for the newbies! If you're doing any facial waxing for the first time, most likely your skin will get red and possibly bumpy. These are normal reactions which usually subside by the time you go to bed. If your goal is to grow your brows out, you'll want to see a brow artist 3-6 months before. For brazilian waxing, after the service, it is best to wait 8-12 hours before you use a hot tub, exercise, or engage in any other honeymoon related activities! ;)

*Book as early as 3 months before the wedding but this is dependent on what your skin care goals are. This is recommended for those with acneic skin type or wanting to try a peel series.

*Book 2-3 months in advance, to make time for the consultation and trial which will allow you to experiment with different looks.

****Bonus Bridal Tip!****

*Book yourself a day of wedding coordinator. This person is also a wedding planner but you don't need to hire them for all that, just hire them for their day of services. They help with the logistics of the actual day. All of the behind the scenes craziness, paying the vendors, or making sure that your last minute RSVP-ing Uncle Jack has a seat, is handled by the day of coordinator. They range in price so shop around but it is so worth it! My day of coordinator prevented me from having an eczema flare up!
